When SAFRAN needed wastewater treatment system components in PEI (Ultem) with ±0.01mm tolerance, 3D printing and injection molding both failed. We solved it with Mazak VARIAXIS J-500 5-axis and Mazak INTEGREX i-250H/HS 9-axis mill-turn centers, proprietary thermal management, and a breakthrough ultrasonic welding process—delivering custom aerospace polymer components with a 98.2% yield and Cpk 1.72.
